Caddy 500 To Be Featured On Horsepower TV
After years of quietly living in the shadow of Chevy, Ford & Mopar, the Big Block Cadillac is about to receive its long over-due recognition, making it to “The Big Time,” by being featured on an upcoming episode on Horsepower TV.
“When Horsepower TV’s Mike Galley contacted us about wanting to do a build, we were thrilled,” says Marty Lane, President of Maximum Torque Specialties (MTS). “Mike has wanted to do this project for a while, and with the many new and improved parts recently developed by MTS, It was perfect timing.” Marty added, “While this is an honor for MTS to be chosen for the build, a much larger celebration has to be in order as this is one of the proudest moments for the entire Cadillac Big Block community.”
MTS’ Director of R&D, John Walker will be working with Mike and co-host Joe Elmore on the build. “We already have all the needed parts from the show’s sponsors and the set-up is ready to go,” says John. “I can’t wait to shoot the episode so the world can see just how special this engine actually is. MTS has committed a tremendous amount of time and resources towards R&D in the past four years in developing items for the Cadillac Designed Project, and now we get to show the rest of the Hot Rod world what a Cadillac is really made of, not to mention how sweet the engine will look with all of various MTS Aluminum parts being used in the build.”
Filming for the show will be taped the week of December 12-16 at the Horsepower TV’s studio in Franklin, TN. The date of airing has not yet been determined. The show currently airs weekly on Sunday’s at 10:30 am (Pacific) on Spike TV.
