On April 12th, 2007 Maximum Torque Specialties (MTS) acquired the rights of the former "Bulldog" branded Cadillac Aluminum Heads and Manifold products.  Manufacturing for the new MTS products are under way, with the "Bulldog" labeled Manifold due out Oct 1st, and the "MTS" labeled version coming early 2008. The MTS head production is slated to begin in early June, with a scheduled release date of July 2008.

"As things go, we really hoped to get running when our feet hit the ground," said President Marty Lane, "Unfortunately some of the initial foundry work was delayed as we wanted to ensure the products would be perfect for what our customers wanted.  If we're going to put our name on them (MTS), they have to perform as promised; correctly.  We bought the rights knowing changes needed to be made, and after talking with potential customers, we decided to ensure that Caddy enthusiasts weren't disappointed."

Along with the use of a higher grade of aluminum, the new products have been redesigned for better fit and performance with the help of industry professional John Walker of Torque Inc.  Improvements in the head design include slightly smaller ports, allowing the Edelbrock manifold to bolt on, while leaving plenty of room to enlarge the ports so numbers would be similar to ported “earlier” heads. Additional improvements will allow for the use of all existing aftermarket shaft rocker systems and the popular MTS composite intake gaskets.  This allows the MTS gasket to be used as the industry standard, working with all of the current high performance manifolds (BD / MTS / EDELBROCK / BOOGIEMAN).

The heads will be available either bare, or as a complete assembly. The complete heads will be manufactured with one piece stainless valves (no cheap 2-piece valves here) and the high performance valve grinding equipment is the latest design, complete with computer guided depth and a CNC'd multi angle cutter to do the entire seat in one cut, creating a near perfect port grind match.  Stock flow will be approx. 280, while a ported head will flow up to 370.

The new MTS-FR (Factory Replacement) heads and MTS-SP (Single Plane) manifold will available through MTS direct as well as the other top Cadillac performance vendors.
