Wanted running 65 0r 66 429 + Trans

I'm seeking a 65 or 66 429 and trans in good running order. I realize this is a 425/472/500 site but figure this was a good place as many people are doing motor swaps. Your junk could become my treasure.

I'd run a 500, but this project (34 Ford) requires a certain look in addition to performance, (no offense meant to the looks of the 500.)

With the help of this site a few years back I built a 73 F-150 with a 500 and it was amazing! Will be doing another 500 project again in the future.

Meanwhile I'm looking for someone's "scrap" 429 + trans.

I have a 429 and trans that I just pulled out of my 66 sedan deville, I was going to rebuild it by I found a 68 and am going with that now. It ran but it has a broken ring in one cylinder, compression all the rest of them was good, I just rebuilt the carb and it has a new fuel pump also. The tranny shifted just fine and leaked alittle fluid I think from the rear seal, one crack on bellhousing that doesnt have to do with anything. Let me know if you are interested will sell for cheap I need to get rid of I have no room to store anymore. DJ
