Happy Holidays to all! I am looking for the clutch-stype 7 bladed fan for a 74 Fleetwood (not the flexfan). Mine went south some time ago, and I have a "general purpose" one on there now. Not nearly as big...

I'm in Centreville, VA near Washington, DC, and would love to find one sorta close by to save on shipping.

Thanks!

These must be difficult to find. We have 70 fans in stock and not one is for a clutch

They came with both a solid fan and clutch fan. I take it you need the fan and clutch?

Anyway I have one with a clutch or I also have the stock solid fan with proper spacer and bolts. Both of these are from Eldos but they should be the same. With the solid one you will have the same performance but it will never go out.

Either one I can sell you one for $40 and I will pay the shipping from Washington State.

If interested email me at [email protected]

Thanks

[quote="turaboy,
Beware: there are cheap replacements that aren't thermostatically controlled. A good one will cost $60 or more [iirc]. Worth it imo.

Rock Auto, which tends to be cheaper than most parts houses, sells the Delco units.
$73 for the HD version, and $94 for the non HD clutch.

The gmpartsdirect.com listings for those Delco units say:
list=$137/$142 and sell them for $72/$74 (but their shipping is high).

STDog,

Interesting. Do you know what differences there are between the two?

TIA
Dave

Here's 3 different part numbers for the Delco units.
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1025446,parttype,6812
I cannot find any specs on the Delco parts though.

4 seasons only show a cross for 22050676 -> 36952

But other similar clutches from them include 36956, and 36999.
Specs are here http://www.4s.com/webcatalog/cataloglook.aspx?Site=FourSeasons

*56 and *99 are both heavy duty, but *99 the fan is farther from the engine by 0.62", but the overall length differers by 0.63" (more likely designed as 5/8")

*52 is a standard duty unit. It's 0.12" (1/8") farther from the engine, and the clutch part is 0.26" (1/4") thinner. Over all the *52 part is 0.38" (3/8") shorter,
