Just installed a complete set of new brass freeze plugs purchased from "AL". I couldn't believe the condition of the stock ones. The right side last two plugs by the exhaust manifold were about to rust through and this 1977 425 engine has only 78,000 miles and the system is flushed regularly. I guess I need to start add some anti-rust additive on each flush.
As I was taking off the passenger's side motor mount to replace the freeze plug behind it and I noticed the mount and stress cracks in both of the upper mounting holes. Had to weld it up before re-installing it.
I was wondering, does anyone make a "Heavy Duty" motor mount for these engines?
Thanks again "AL".
