Welcome to the new forum everyone. The new forum software should help carry this forum for quite some time to come. It offers better options and more flexibility for the MTS crew.

Some of the things here are different, but all the functionality is more or less the same. Please take the time to look over the forum and get use to it.

Please also note that I tried really hard to import everything from the old forum, but not everything went as planned. Specifically you will find that almost all the images have been lost from the previous forum. This is because the previous forum used a special patch that couldn't be imported. Sorry everyone. However if you did have something uploaded, please feel free to go back and edit your post and upload it again.

Also we pruned a lot of accounts that were mostly spam accounts. Every single one of them had zero posts, but if your account got deleted by accident, please reregister. I promise it won't happen again.

Post your questions, fustrations, whatever in this thread and I will endevour to answer every single one of them.

Do we have a "new since last visit" type of selection ? Can we change our time to GMT -x for the North American market ?

In the blue bar across the top is "new posts" Not positive but that should do it

Yes if you look in the top navigation bar, you will see the "New Posts". That will show you all the new posts since your last visit.

And yes, for some reason people all got switched to -0 for the time offset. If you go to the "User CP" link at the top that will take you to your User Control Panel where you can change all your options and stuff. From there click on the left on "Edit Options". Toward the bottom is the date and time options. Set it to whatever time zone you are in.

Any chance you can dump all the images on to the server where users can brows them and maybe find their pics? May be some that are not easily found.

Nathan did that on CadillacPower and Stampie did it on ModifiedCadillac.

I can point you to a simple tool to make a browseable album out of them images.
It the tool Stampie uses for the documents section on ModifiedCadillac

I also use it to help manage my personal photos on my computers and when I make CDs with images on them.


Oh, I haven't looked at the CP/settings pages yet, but I don't have a post tool bar?
No smileys/emoticons or BB code buttons for links, images, bold, underline, etc.

How's the RD coming along?

I used to have an extremely clean '72 Yamaha DS7 in the mid to late 80's. Wish I still had that li'l bike.

Still think the fastest rate of acceleration I've ever experienced (at least on the ground anyway) was a well modified RZ-350.

I rode a 350 Yamaha once and the hardest thing was keeping the front end on the ground.

The RD is coming along slowly. I finished some chassis mods recently with a newly purchased mig welder. The only part I have been hesitant about doing is the engine itself since I don't have a ton of 2-stroke experience. I sent my first engine off to a local guy who came back about right. Try 215psi for cylinder pressure! :D I also have a second 350 motor for it as well as a 400 motor that fits into the frame without modification. I figure that will get me through at least 1 race season.

I'm guessing you'd used that PHP script before?

Just at a glance I found 3 pics I don't think I have anywhere else now.
Lot's of cool pics in there as well. I'm going to have to make a dump of them all for myself. Like the comparison of the 095 and later 500 crank.

Good stuff
