Anyone know of good Cad machine shop in Indianapolis?

I live in central Indiana. From the comments I've gotten here about my plans for a buildup, it seems like I oughta call a shop or two and get some prices to see if I can afford to have a little extra work done.

Anyone...Bueller...?

I had Ted at the shop attached to the NAPA in Eaton Oh near the Indiana line do mine. Reasonably priced and no known errors. Except that I let him talk me out of decking my block for fear of having too high compression hense detonation. Wrong, wish I would have decked it but no biggie. Another local guy (near Ohio Indiana line) has had Parson's (race/machine shop) in Dayton do some of his seems pleased and always goes back.

Mostly just ask enough questions around here to know exactly what and why you want what done for your project/goals. This way you don't miss anything you should do or buy services you don't need. Priceing and services get overlapped different ways and vary from one part of the country to another but you should be able to get what is in a reasonable price range for a particular service. Reasonable labor rates can be found in Indiana so with a little knowledge this should be in your favor.

If a two hour drive to Fort Wayne is not out of the question, C&P Machine is excellent. They can do any machine work you could possibly want. They do excellent work. I've used them for more than 15 years. I've seen other shops in this area that don't have what it takes to balance a crankshaft.

A tip from a pretty good little birdie said you should check out Steve Schmidt Automotive in INDY. Old #317-898-1831. I think he now has a new shop so the # may have changed but I bet its at 411 under Schmidt Automotive.

Thanks, Vern. Will do. It's possible I took some Chev stuff there several years ago. If so, I was happy with that work at the time. I'll have to check my records.
