I have a complete 1974 500, block, crank, accessories, bolts, etc. Disassembled in 1996. Clean and dry storage. I ditched the stock heads for a set of 1970 "250" heads. Exh. manifolds for an Eldo. A set of new (resized) 7" Olds 425 rods. FWD and RWD oil pans and oil pumps. Engine mount brackets, BBC header flanges, lot's more stuff. No rebuild parts. I also have a new in the box Schnieder Racing cam, 288/296, 230/238, .490-ish lift. All or nothing. $1000.00. Reply to 404-394-5776. Jeff. Thanks for looking.

i know you can turn down the crank so i big block chevy rod will fit and with a little borring you get about 540. what does the olds rod do? is it longer then stock cad rod? do you not have to turn the crank any for it to fit

Longer rod, and for a while the least expensive choice for forged rods.

Same crank pin size, but the rod is a bit wider and has to be narrowed some to use. The piston pin is a different size too, and you need pistons with the correct compression height (due to the different length).

Not much need now, as forged rods for the Cadillac are available at a good price.
