Early 49 to 61 valve covers on 500

Does anyone use the early Cadillac 49 to 61 valve covers on their 500? The adapters are available and was wondering if they would clear the shaft rocker setup on my heads. Thanks

I have a set of old Edmonds find aluminum covers on my 472. The adaptors I had made up by my machinist buddy are a 1/2" thick and clear everything very well. I just had to work up a breather system which was done by adding a set of Moon breathers.
