Not sure if this is the best place or not, but it is engine related, so...

Does anyone here know the specs for throttle shaft bushings on a Q-Jet?
I've found placew that sell them and kits, but they seam pricy. The bushing should only be about $5, and $50 or more for the kits seams high. I cannot find specs on the shaft anywhere either.

So what should the I.D. and O.D. be?

I should be able to find/make a copper or brass bushing easily, if I can find the specs and have it faster than ordering one. The kits are fine if you do a copuple a month, but for a one time job?

I found a few places that want ~$50 to install them, plus shipping and down time it's a bit much.

I do all my Q-Jet related reworking through the Carb Shop out in Ontario, CA. You can reach them on the web by the following address:www.customcarbs.com. They are THE best when it comes to Q-Jet stuff! 8) Rick.

You should Private Message cj2/500. He seems to be the big Q-Jet guy around here. He probably can answer your question in depth.

I did, last week, but I don't think he's been on the board yet. It's still in the "outbox" :(
