How to ID a 500

I have a 500 cadillac installed in a jeep commando I just bought, previous owner believes it is a very early 70's motor, how do I determine what year motor this is? I'm going to be placing it forsale and want to have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Well based on the info in the link above (thanks) and a little other research it looks to be a 70-73 500, did the stroke test with a long screwdriver and it is 4.3 give or take a hair. What's one of these in good running shape (with a brand new edelbrock electric choke carb) worth?
