i was here asking about this 4 or 5 months ago and got good info, but i remember there being some gray areas. i remember someone named stampie and cadillac pat giving me some good advice, but differing in some areas. i want to get some of this cleared up. mainly the oil pan. some one said i need an eldo rear sump oil pan from a 472 or 500, but it seems like i remember someone saying something about a 425 oil pan. i wont need ac so no probs there. i think cadillac pat said i could use a 8.5" rear from a 91 - 96 caprice/roadmaster. i was wondering if this would need to be built or if itd be good stock. i know about removing the 1/2 to 1" off of the passenger upper control arm for clearance for the exhaust manifold. thanks. any insight is welcome and i remember a site showing a 500 drop into an 82 limo( i think) if anyone knows that page, thatd probably help, thanks.

If you want to put a 500 in a 83 fleetwood find a 77-79 deville or fleetwood as a doner car.. almost all the parts you will need will be a bolt on.. the oil pan is what you need... and many other parts like Y pipe, transmission and on an on...
