ive been trying to find it online but i cant seem to find what cfm is the carb on a 69 deville 472. thanks.

750 cfm. The 800 cfm model didn't show up until the mid 70's

Generally the Q-Jet is 750CFM max. But the design make it more like a variable CFM. So dropping a different design, like a Holley DP, won't take a 750. The way the vacuum secondary on the Q-Jet work, it provids flow as needed, up to 750CFM. Not many 472's will pull that though.

Given the normal RPM range of a 472, you only need 500 CFM (at 4000 rpm, which is faster than the stock valve train can work.
