Edelbrock Q-jet?

Did Edelbrock discontinue the Q-jet line for Quadrajet and Thermoquad replacement carbs? Is anyone else making them?

Hm. Not that I know of.

Either way, you can still get them at many online stores, etc.

Edelbrock makes a Chev version of the QJ, but it easily converted to the Cadillac linkage.

I know they stoped making the 850cfm unit.

I have one for sale here http://www.cowboyseven.us/forum/index.php?topic=1783.0 I think they were too expensive to be competitive against the new Holley or Demon Carbs.

I also have a stock carb, $110. The 1975/1976 carb is nearly the same, rated at 800cfm and I don't know where they got the extra 50cfm out of the 1910. You need to buy the edelbrock rod/jet ket and it will give you all you need to convert it.

I just happened to go to Edelbrock's website to see if they had an electric choke conversion kit that someone was looking for, and all of the Quadrajet stuff that used to be there is gone.

I bought one of their 1906 Q-jets for my hearse, had to cut off part of the linkage and it worked fine except that there was no place to put the idle kicker or the downshift switch.

edelbrock no longer makes the q-jet.they told me that they farmed out the carbs and did'nt make them themselves and lost a bunch of money.i could'nt even get a manual on them.i have a brand new one i'am going to use either on my 455 olds or 500 cad.but my dog ate my manual.so i have to work out the vac lines.they still sell parts at least for now.for gas milege they are the best out there if you have a good one to start with!
