Thanks Al,

Is the SSC spring kit still a single spring? Is the SSC spring a direct replacement for the ss spring or does it require additional machining.

Have you ever played with beehive springs?

Thanks

PS, The Cad-T-Bird is finally on the road and running good. Ran 13.8 the other day with a bad distributor, had to shift at 3,800 RPM. Made some changes last weekend and if the rain gods stay away I will try it again on Friday.

Thanks for all your help.

Our S/S/C springs are a double spring with an inner dampner. They require that the spring seat be machined with a step in it to register the springs. Valve guides height must be cut down as well. Kit includes full photo instruction sheet (to throw away, LOL) as well. Kit is good for .600" lift.
I have not looked at using beehive springs yet. Have had to real control or stablity issues from our current stuff. When used as intended. I'm just tough to change what I know works.
I'm also the kind of guy who was happy with Windows 3.1. Did everything I needed just fine. With a lot less hassle. Ever notice "new and improved" ain't always so for a lot of things?

BTW not bad for some part throttle runs from the bird! Keep pluggin, if this were easy, everybody would be runnin in the 8's!
