What fuel pumps and fuel line size are you guys running?? I am currently running a stock fuel pump. Also my pick up in my tank is 5/16" as well as my main fuel line. In the fuel line I am running a stock type(fram) filter and the stock filter in the q jet. Is this enough for a warmed over 500 caddy?? I was thinking about sumping my fuel tank and going to a -8 line.
Is there a better mech fuel pump out?? Or should I go with a electric pump? My current set up seems to lay down at about 3300 or so I think its fuel related.

I'm sticking with stock pump, line, and fuel filters.

The one on my '76 is 3/8"
Rockhog,
I've used the 500 in a bunch of off road stuff and have had a lot of problems wiht the stock type pump when it's hot outside. Now all I use is a Carter Street pump (electric) with 3/8 fuel line from tank to carb.

DOC what's that pump run?
T.O.,
Around Salt Lake on the wholesale end, about $80. It comes with all the mounting stuff. It is a bit noisy for some people, but, with the car running you never notice it.

Cool, I may have to look into that. The engine will be incredibly noisy anyways 8)

Thanks Doc, I have had this motor in for about 5 years without any issues off road. But I wanna make sure I have enough pump for high end when at the dunes or mud racing. I will look into that pump for sure.
