I was wondering to those that have dropped 472/500 motors into these cars what do you do for the heater hose to head situation? I have a set of 950 heads and I dont want to run the hose to the front so what would be the best way? I have heard of tapping the back of the head if so what size do you guys use? Any ideas? I am also going to be running a custom EFI setup on it and was planning on running an EGR valve setup that was on the manifold for better gas mileage and to lower combustion temps but Can an EGR system be used with 950 heads? Thanks - Justin

In case you didn't see this post.

You could start by pulling the outlet or plug from the 425 you (will) pull out to get a size.
No clue about EGR systems. I don't like them. I put a non-EGR 472 manifold on a 425 I just put in a car.

Why don't you want to go to the front? 1970 blocks had a hole/nipple down below the thermostat housing on right. I've drilled and tapped 2 blocks for that purpose. I run the hose under the alt. to a 45 degee fitting.
