Hello everybody,I have a spare 500 engine, complete minus distributor,I have read in some other posts about not being able to use a fuel injection distributor on a carb engine.....being down here in New Zealand, parts are really scarce, but I came across a decent distributor out of a fuel injected 500.....apart from the extra wires for the processor, everything looks the same as the regular HEI. I am going by photo's from the seller,so I can't have a really good look close up,can you guys help?? :?

Ya you can use the EFI distributer in a carburated motor. The only difference was the crank trigger that told the ecm the position of the crank. - Justin

YES you can use the F/I distrubitor .. like fleetwood472 said.. the switches in that are on the side of the unit below the cap are switched by magnets that triggered the ECM to fire the injectors
