I have a 1962 Cadillac and i'm interested in putting a Chevy 350 Engine in it, and wanted to know if anyone knows if that would be an easy conversion?

 Probably would be easy, but I doubt you'll find too much support for it here. Why not try a 472? I just did a swap of one into a '65. I can tell you what you'll need to do if you plan on headin' that route.... :D

what kinda cars had a 452 in them? and is it easy to find parts for a 452? Because the reason I was trying to go with a 350 is because im having a hard time finding parts for the original engine.

The aftermarket for the 472/500 is pretty extensive now. I don't think you would have any problem getting what you need. What are you wanting to do? Just a stock build?

The 472/500 engines are almost bulletproof if taken care of and assembled correctly. Any Cadillac from 68' thru 76' had them. However, you'll have a few fitment issues with ANY engine swap into your 62'.
As a note, it's not real kosher to talk changing out a Cadillac engine to something other than another Cadlillac engine on a Cadillac forum.

 I believe that '62 is nearly the same, if not the same chassis as the '65 I did. I had to modify the x-member for the trans, and you'll need to ahem, bang in the trans tunnel up by the acc. pedal a bit. I had to run a flex fan, and trim down the rad. support about 1/2" to clear the fan. You will need a different trans, as the one from the 429 will not bolt up. The shift linkage and kickdown wiring should swap right across. The trans yokes are different sizes, but the both use the same u-joint. My driveshaft was about 1" too long after the swap. But I did it into a car with a 2 piece shaft, so I trimmed down the yoke a bit. The ehaust crossover was a bit different, but lined up nearly perfectly with the original system. I used the 429 motormounts with the 472, but I had to make a 1/2" spacer plate to slide under the passenger side motormount so the oilfilter would clear. The trottle linkage will work with a newer spreadbore Rochester carb with no mods. The lowerer rad hose will need to be one from the donor car, as the water inlet is bigger on the 429. You should be able to run your radiator with no problems. Also, you will need to grab the PS pump and brackets from the donor. You will need a longer return line, but the pressure line will work as is. Your altenator will work too, but you'll need the 472 brakets and spacers. You will need to trim the upper bracket a bit to mke it work. If you plan on running AC, the pump is moved over and back about 3-4", you will need new hoses. Hope the info is helpful!

All,
His '62 will not have a TH400, and may not have an electrical detent system, like a '64 up. Might have a linkage of some sort, not sure. His trans/column may also have a weird shift pattern. Not PRN321.
A 425/472/500 & TH400 swap is still do-able, I'm sure.
Even a stock 425 would pull the car much better than a smogger 350 chev.
