Alrighty i whant to let the caddy breath a little bit but i am under space sonstriants whith the LUV. So what kind of muffler should i go for that will give a nice sound and flow realy well that is also somewhat compact. Im just going to be running the manifolds so i guess im more looking for good sound than performance right now. Thanks :)

I love those turbo mufflers, but, it they are too thick or wide, just use a 2 1/2 inch glass pack. They are pretty cheap and sound ok.

You know what the Summit Turbo sound like because you rode in the Cad-T-Bird.

I might suggest "stacking" mufflers for you with your space constraints. You could run a chambered design like a Flowmaster in one of their smaller cases. The 30 and 40 series come to mind. Then after the Flowmasters use a couple race-style bullet mufflers. They're a bit like glasspacks but a much better design and only a bit larger diameter than the exhaust itself. The small Flowmasters give a nice sound but they're very loud. The bullets would act like resonators taking out a bit of the treble left over from the flowmasters.

I did this on a 73 Impala Station wagon with a hot 454. I used the biggest 70-series flowmasters to try to keep it quiet and added bullets later. It took out all the 1977 "blat" sound and made it rumble.

im definetly not worried about noise. Ill probly end up daily driving this guy a bit but loud to most people is mild compared to the cacophony created by my Isuzu daily driver
I may just end up stuffing some 24" cherry bombs under it 8)

Does it matter how loud it is? If not, I love the old school sound of Cherry Bombs. They sound great when ran off the manifolds. And if you adjust the carb to run a little rich, they will throw flames!
