my machienst says that 440 doge pistons can be yoused if you hone out small end of rod has aney one heard of this
I think 440 pistons are about the right height for a 472, but the pin is about .090" larger, the small hole in the rod will have to be bored, not just honed. You need to be sure that there's enough material to keep it from becoming seriously weak.
The 440 pistons I've seen were all flat top, so you would probably need 120cc heads for a reasonable comp. ratio.

leeevilevans,
Beware, most mopar pistons are a full round skirt, not a "
slipper skirt" design, like a caddy. The full round skirt will crash into the counterweights on a 500. Been there. Done that. Lots of extra work hacking the crank, and then adding mallory to balance it.
Fyi - KBs mopar pistons [and all of theirs] are a slipper skirt design.

leeevilevans,
I forgot....
There are several different pin hiegth 440 pistons out there. Mopar varied compression by piston hieght. Something in the 1.910-1.915" is just about perfect for a tight quench with an uncut block and thick gaskets on a 500.
Fwiw, unless you need a forging, I'd just use a "for caddy" KB piston....
